A few weeks ago, the names of Jonathan Drouin, Mike Hoffman and Evgenii Dadonov did not attract any interest across the league, and with good reason.

The Habs seemed to have to resign themselves to keeping their contracts for the end of the season, finding no takers for them at the trade deadline.

However, due to their recent performances with the team, there seems to be a resurgence of interest in them throughout the NHL. They are showing that they could come in and help a team in the final stretch of the season.

According to the journalist Arpon Basu of The Athletic, of all these players, the one who has the most chances to leave the organization would be none other than Evgenii Dadonov.

A professional scout reportedly told him that the Russian forward could be of interest to a few teams that have not been able to get their Plan A or Plan B.

It was the same story for informant Pierre LeBrun, who said much the same thing as Basu in his most recent edition of Insider Trading.

"Start hearing from some teams that if we don't get some of the top players on our roster, we may call Kent Hughes [for Dadonov] closer to March 3."

Still, this is interesting information from two different people involved in the business. So there would be a real chance that the Russian forward could be traded by March 3.

In 46 games this season with the CH, he scored four goals and 13 assists for a total of 17 points. However, it is especially lately that he has finally found his offensive colors, as he obtained four points in his last five games.

This is a timely development for the Montreal Canadiens.
