The Trade Deadline is slowly creeping closer and now trades are starting to trickle in. Just now, the Colorado Avalanche made a minor deal with the Devils.

Devils And Avalanche Complete Minor Trade

The Devils brought in Kurtis MacDermid from the Avalanche today as the team looks to beef up for the stretch run. In return, the Avalanche received a 7th round pick at this year's draft and prospect Zakhar Bardakov.

🚨 TRADE ALERT 🚨

We have acquired F Kurtis MacDermid via trade with the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft and forward Zakhar Bardakov.

Bardakov is a 23-year-old center playing in the KHL. He has 12 points in 51 games this season and does not figure to be a part of either team's future plans. He was likely included in the deal just to keep the contracts even.

MacDermid on the other hand, is an interesting player as he can play both defense and forward positions. That being said, he has just two goals this season in 29 games with the Avalanche.

This trade doesn't figure to have major impacts on either team, but it could be a precursor to some larger moves by both teams. Be sure to stay tuned as the trade deadline makes exciting moves more likely by the minute.
