Superstar Goaltender lashes out at Calgary Flames Management

The Calgary Flames are clearly big sellers ahead of the trade deadline, and while they handled some moves well, others haven't been handled quite as smoothly.

Over the past few weeks, it became abundantly clear that Calgary were looking to move Jacob Markstrom, with the star goaltender believing he wasn't coming back to Calgary after a recent East coast road trip.

Now however, the Flames have reportedly made the decision to hold onto him ahead of the deadline, and when asked about the situation, he clearly wasn't happy.




Today, Pierre LeBrun speculated that New Jersey could take another run at prying Markstrom from the Flames, and after this comment, they may have renewed interest in moving him soon.

Ultimately though, this one hasn't been handled well, as Calgary look to get younger and push for a re-tool, and while the relationship could be salvaged, it's not looking good right now.
