The votes are in, and the front office of the Edmonton Oilers have been voted one of the least trustworthy in the entire NHL. Jeff Jackson was filling in as Edmonton Oilers GM this off-season, and things had been going well until they hired controversial Stan Bowman to take over as GM, and that's when things took a turn for the worse among the fans. Jackson had built up so much confidence around the Oilers fans, and when they saw that such a controversial man was hired, all that trust was broken. «I want to be clear what happened to Kyle Beach was wrong and handled poorly. Part of my process was speaking with Sheldon (Kennedy) about Stan and learning about all the work he has done,» Jeff Jackson on hiring Bowman.

Oilers fans have had a history of being critical of the front office, as they have been poorly managed in the past, always finishing near the bottom of the league before things got better when they drafted Connor McDavid. Right before they hired Stan Bowman, things were going so well as Jackson was having one of the best off-seasons in a very long time, and then after the Bowman hiring, people were left scratching their heads. There were so many other candidates who were deserving that aren't scumbags like Stan Bowman and Jeff Jackson hires the worst person possible. Bowman isn't just a terrible GM. He's a terrible human. Getting a 2nd chance in the NHL should have been a privilege he lost long ago.

The official confidence rankings are out, and it's no surprise that the Florida Panthers finished first after having just won the first Stanley Cup in franchise history. Unfortunately for the Oilers, they are near the bottom of the league, however they can take some confidence in knowing they aren't the worst Canadian team, as the Toronto Maple Leafs came in as being the lowest ranked Canadian club in that category. NHL franchises' erratic movement in @domluszczyszyn's front office confidence rankings is a effect of the «what have you done for me lately» philosophy. So how does the list shake out after the 2023-24 season?

You can't help but feel bad for Oilers fans, as they suffered such heartbreak in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals, to the extremely controversial Stan Bowman hiring, and now being voted near the bottom of the league. It's been a rough few months for the team.
