Max Domi is a second generation star in the NHL, and that's somewhat unfortunate for Craig Berube, who continues getting him mixed up with his father.

The Toronto Maple Leafs made a massive change this past off-season by bringing in Craig Berube to replace Sheldon Keefe, and while he's not only won a Stanley Cup as a Head Coach, he has also got plenty of experience as a player. With over 3,100 penalty minutes during a career that lasted from 1986 to 2003, he saw plenty of fierce players over that time, including Tie Domi, who happens to be the father of current Leafs forward Max.

Unsurprisingly, it's not been an easy transition to now coaching his son Max in Toronto, as he has called him Tie several times in interviews, and he admits he's done it many more times at practice, with the formidable enforcer reportedly in his head.

«I've called Max Tie' a few times already. Tie is in my head.»

Berube and the elder Domi did battle many times throughout their careers, and given that both were dominant enforcers, it's no shock that he's spent plenty of time thinking about Tie throughout his career, a change that won't be easy to make. However, Berube now likely has Max playing on the wing on the Maple Leafs second line, so he's on the way to becoming a crucial part of this forward group, so hopefully the veteran coach can turn it around and get the right name going forward.
