The Los Angeles Kings struck a blow this summer by acquiring Pierre-Luc Dubois. We really thought the Canadiens had a chance of signing him, but the Quebecker preferred to head for the warm California sun. Training camps are starting to materialize, and some have already begun. We've had details of the Kings' starting line-up, and that can't be good news for Dubois, who'll be piloting the 3rd trio. Quinton Byfield - Anze Kopitar - Adrian Kempe Trevor Moore - Phillip Danault - Viktor Arvidsson Kevin Fiala - Pierre-Luc Dubois - Arthur Kaliyev There's no doubt that Dubois needs to familiarize himself with his new teammates and surroundings. However, it's rather surprising that coach Todd McLellan would place his new $8.5 million center on the 3rd line. If Dubois isn't happy, it's probably just the opposite for Phillip Danault, who keeps his position on the top 6, for the time being. Remember, nothing is set in stone, and that's what preparatory games are for. However, it's clear that the plan is to place Kopitar, Danault and Dubois at center. The captain will obviously be on the top 6, but as for the two Quebecers, who both have a reputation for being sulky, we'll see how they react when they don't get the minutes of a top 6 player.
