Those who watched the second game between the Bruins and Panthers probably noticed that the intensity went up a notch between the two teams.

Tempers flared during the game, but especially late in the game when the score was clearly in Florida's favor.

Things started to get seriously heated to the point where a rare situation occurred, when the referees stopped the game before the end, for reasons of player safety.

There were only a few seconds left in the period, but it is still very rare to see a game end with the full 60 minutes. Let's just say that such a decision says a lot about the atmosphere that reigned on the ice.

Technically, the rules oblige the referees to run out every second of a game, unless there is a case of an important issue related to safety. This option was the reason for the referees' decision yesterday.

"Unbelievable, the Boston officials just said F-it and didn't play the last 3 seconds of the game. I'm not sure I've ever seen that before." - David Alter

"This is the first time in as long as I can remember that a game ended before the end (There were only 3 seconds left, but still). Game 3 of Boston-Florida is going to be crazy." - Trey Lower

Here are the final seconds of the game that prompted the referees to end the game with only seconds left.

Let's say that the hostilities are launched and that it promises for the third duel of the series which will take place in Florida, tomorrow.
