We all know that Arber Xhekaj is very well respected in the NHL, already in his rookie season.

The 22 year old now has built a solid reputation and while he is not one of the most feared players in the league, he is definitely a guy that opponents know and watch.

In fact, there's a tasty revelation about him that has surfaced on social media, courtesy of the popular Spittin' Chiclets podcast with former NHLers Paul Bissonnette and Ryan Whitney.

During an interview with Nick Suzuki, Whitney talked about going golfing recently with Florida Panthers defenseman Marc Staal, who told him a magical story about the CH's No. 72. While discussing how the league is becoming less robust, Staal went on to talk directly about Xhekaj.

He told this to the co-host of the podcast:

"We were in the corner and I was holding him and he looks at me and says, 'You have three seconds to let go,'" "I was like okay okay Jesus Christ."

For a veteran of 16 NHL seasons, who is also a 6-foot-4 big guy, to understand that the right thing to do was to let go of the man known as "The Sheriff" on the Habs, it shows that Xhekaj's reputation is already immense in the league.

In addition to having that reassuring presence for his teammates in the lineup, the best thing about him is that he knows how to play hockey too.

He is seriously a unicorn of sorts in the NHL and we can only be very happy that he will be with the Montreal Canadiens for a very long time.

The segment starts at about 2:10:17 on the full version of the podcast:
