Paul Bissonnette, a noted Leaf fan, levelled some serious allegations after last night's game between the Leafs and the Senators that saw the lights turn off in the dying seconds.
Lights Turn Off In Dying Seconds of the Leafs Senators Game as Senators Try to Score Last Second Goal
The Leafs-Senators game last night came down to the wire, as seemingly all Leaf games have this season. However, the final minute of this game was unlike most. During the last 45 seconds, as the Senators had their goalie pulled to try and tie the game, the lights went out in the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa. The lights went out

You can see in the video that every Leaf player on the ice was calling for something to happen, as the lights flickered on and off. Luckily, the incident seemed to catch the Senators off guard as well, as they failed to take advantage.
Bissonnette Claims the Senators Did this On Purpose
In a hilarious rant on social media, Paul Bissonnette shared a flurry of posts calling out the Senators for cheating, in what we can only assume were half-hearted jokes. The Senators tried to flicker the lights on Martin Jones mid play with the extra attacker to distract him. Gary needs to look into that. Take another draft pick away. That's Belichick type stuff.

Good guys win again. We own Ottawa. I thought the Senators deserved a better fate until they tried to cheat at the end of the game that was ridiculous. Who hits the dimmers mid play? Gutless. Martin Jones and Woll deserve the belt tonight. #leafsforever

I'm not dropping this either. The @nhl and Gary need to look into #FlickerGate. They should lose at least a 1st rounder for «forgetting» to pay the hydro bill. What does honorary Leaf for the night @MarcMethot3 think about this??? I want justice. #battleofontario

You'd think after the rant and some sleep that Biz was done, however, he came back on social media this morning to continue his posts. I want answers @Senators. #FlickerGate

The wild sequence of events, fortunately for all involved, didn't have an impact on the game. Can you imagine how irate Leaf fans would have been if the Sens managed to tie it as the lights flickered?
