NHL referees are probably the most underappreciated people on the NHL ice. Veteran NHL referee is no stranger to criticism, but his latest battle is the accusations that he's fixing games.

Regardless of whether it is pre-season games or game seven of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, every call counts. Games and seasons are on the line, and Kelly Sutherland seems to think otherwise.

However, Kelly Sutherland seems to not like the Vancouver Canucks, and it appears this is an impact on his on-ice conduct with Canucks players.

Fans of the Vancouver Canucks have seen Leon Draisaitl get hurt and Connor McDavid not play to his superstar level and they hoped this would give them an edge, but Sutherland being in the series is really not helping them.

When the big guns in Edmonton are hurt and nowhere to be seen, enter Kelly Sutherland.

However, looking at the statistics for the last game, the Canucks only got called for one penalty, so you have to wonder, is it really fixed?

Nobody wanted to complain on the Oilers' side when Steve Kozari was refereeing the same game and is notoriously anti-Edmonton.

Why the fuss now? It's because Vancouver charged back and won game one 5-4 when they were down 4-1 at one point. That's why.
