The Vancouver Canucks roster needs some work if they are to win the Pacific again in 2024/25, and now they're signing Daniel Sprong as a free agent. After a historic campaign last year, the Vancouver Canucks have undergone some changes this off-season, but there's still work to be done as they fill out this talented forward group. Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal reveals that the team could target 27-year old free agent Daniel Sprong to add depth to the wing position next year. F Daniel Sprong is still available. Sources say Canucks have interest.

After failing to catch on in Pittsburgh after being drafted in the second-round back in 2015, Sprong has found his game at the NHL level over the past three years with Seattle and Detroit. In 142 games over the past two seasons, Sprong has tallied 39 goals and 89 points, and he has shown that with a prominent role, he can be a contributor at the NHL level. It's unclear what role they envision for Sprong in Vancouver, but with every team needing depth, he could be just what this team needs to match and potentially improve upon what they did a year ago.
