Edmonton Oilers superstar Evander Kane had a rough encounter today, and he wasn't shy about sharing it on social media.

Apparently, he and a friend were targeted by a random stranger, and Kane caught the whole thing on video.

According to Kane, a man rode by on his bike and spat on his car. When Kane confronted him, the guy tried to deny everything, but things took an even uglier turn.

Kane says the man told them, "you people don't belong here." You can see in the video that once the camera is rolling, the man refuses to keep arguing.

The cyclist was riding his bike past my vehicle and decided to spit on it as he rode by. And then confronted him as he tried to deny the claim luckily a friend of mine who was driving in the area, pulled over to intervene in our conversation. This gentleman then proceeded to tell me and my friend and I quote you people don't belong here.' It's incredibly disappointing there are still people like this today.

Thankfully, a friend of Kane's who was driving by stopped to end things.

It's awful to think that anyone, let alone a star athlete like Kane, has to deal with this kind of scrutiny. No one should ever have to endure a personal attack.

As for Kane's status with the Oilers, he's expected to start the season on the injured reserve, but hopefully, he'll be back in action, shortly thereafter.
